"EXCELLENT HOLIDAY"
My husband and I were lucky enough to have a lengthy (nearly 3 weeks) break at Pangkor Laut over Christmas / New Year. We are seasoned travellers and can honestly say that this was one of our best holidays ever. The resort is very well laid out and accommodation of a very high standard. Even my husband's initial concern that there was no TV in the Spa Villas was tempered by his recognition that watching Premiership games, given the time difference, into the early morning would have wasted half the lovely sunshine and beach of the following day! We enjoyed a healthy stroll on the walkway by the sea in the morning to breakfast, but for those who don't want to walk, there are frequent shuttles to all locations including the delightful Emerald Bay, where Monsur ensures you are well looked after.

The thing that really made a difference was the standard of service, and the friendly people. Everyone was so nice and helpful - the resort is very well run by Ross, the General Manager, the chefs (especially Kannika) produce excellent food, Ong, the Food & Beverage Manager makes sure the hospitality arrangements go smoothly, Balan runs Uncle Lim's with a personal touch (and great egg-fried rice) and all the staff make the holiday experience very pleasant. Having G&T delivered by speedboat to our junk early in my floating birthday dinner was a James Bond moment! We certainly plan to return!

"PURE PARADISE!"
We were lucky enough to visit this beautiful island for 6 nights as part of our honeymoon and were treated so well from beginning to end of our stay, making it extra special with our own private fireworks display on the beach following our dinner at Emerald Bay one evening.

I would recommend taking a Spa Villa located to the west of the island (5/10 min walk to the main reception/breakfast area). Make sure you book every restaurant when you are there and try out all the fabulous cuisines they have on offer - you won't be disappointed. Breakfast is beyond expectations with everything you can think of on offer! Non-stop free water during your stay along with towels for both beach and poolside! You really only need to pack your clothes as everything else is provided and on tap!

Special mentions to Eny for the fabulous 3-hour Couple’s Spa experience, Robin & Tanka who look after the Jamu Bar / spa pool for the constant water and towels and Arnold, our fabulous waiter on the beach, very attentive & professional - along with the exceptional chef who made us a 5 course meal we will never forget. Cernon & Mr Dean at Fisherman’s Cove restaurant who held their word for us to try their remarkable chocolate spring rolls after the evening we were there they had run out so we had to return for our dessert the next day! Ran, the best cocktail maker in town - his Mojitos are incredible! The island is beautiful and a credit to all those who work and live there. EVERYONE is so pleasant and friendly and we will definitely be back!

"ONE OF THE BEST RESORTS IN ASIA! BEACH + JUNGLE!!"
The resort is an easy 3-hour drive from the KL airport. The hotel has cars to bring you to the marina or you can take a taxi from the airport for about MYR700 or USD170. The jetty at arrival is an effective, cool and beautiful room, with courteous staff and great AC! A quick and pleasant 15-minute boat ride and you arrive in Paradise in a place that I think is probably one of the best resort in Asia and for sure top 3 in Malaysia (the other 2 are YTL's too!). This resort is an amazing combination of beaches and jungle, of wild nature and impressive architecture. After an easy and comprehensive check-in we were off to the amazing Beach Villa, a beautiful room with Asian woodwork and with one of the best tubs! The hotel has many restaurants, my favorite was the Chinese. The spa in the resort is impressive and the treatments quite extensive. The Emerald Bay beach has wonderful white sands and warm, blue waters. It is small but not crowded with great beach service, a fun restaurant and a delicious fish of the day special! Two lap pools, great jungle hike, water activities, and an amazing sunset cruise allow you to both relax and be active. The whole resort is just breathtaking, with superb landscaping and magnificent sunsets and sunrises. Rich breakfast and fast service. Speaking of service, the staff in this hotel is the best part of the experience. Lead by a very fun and charming General Manager, Ross Sanders and his team, Jordan, Ong, Serena, and some of the best waiters, Jeff and Peter!

"A ONCE IN A LIFETIME HOLIDAY - OR MAYBE ANNUALLY FOR ME!"
Remote tropical island anyone? When I read the reviews and got the verbal sales pitch from my travel agent, alarm bells were ringing “This is too good to be true"! Would it really match every very high expectation I had? Answer is yes and more. Seriously, come on! One Resort on One Island - away from everything. No feeling guilty about needing to go shopping, or site seeing or making the most out of your holiday and exhausting yourself in the process. Make the least out of your holiday - do as little as possible and you will have the holiday of your life. Charter a boat, and do a cruise around the island. Do water sports, play golf, play tennis, work out at the gym, jungle trek, lay by the pool, spend endless hours at the breathtaking beach that is EMERALD BAY, take tai chi class, or yoga by the ocean. You will not get bored - how can you! You feel like you are living a breathing a five star 'Survivor' experience - this place is tropical fantastic! The highlight for me was the Spa. I know what you are thinking! Like me you are thinking, "I have done all the best spas in the world. I have had 6 hour treatments and the rest". No. No, you haven’t. This spa is without a word of lie, the best spa experience I have ever had in my life. EVER. I spa monthly, and have at the best resorts and hotels around the world. This spa could be my sole reason to travel back to this resort. I truly don’t want to give anything away, but the second your bath ritual begins I don’t care how stressed you are, or “I can never relax, spa time is wasted on me” your mind tells you. YOU WILL MELT AWAY into one sloppy gooey mess. Whoever invented that bath ritual before every spa treatment needs a bear hug and a medal! Mind blowing is the only word for it. Now away from the spa rave because I only want to go back there because nothing can ever match it - I will talk about the hotel staff and management of the resort. They go out of their way to make sure you feel like you are the only person on the island and staying at their resort. I kept wanting to pinch myself, it honestly felt at times this was too good to be true! In a word: Lifechanging.
